Hi! I’m Jordan Konsor (formerly Richter), an artist based in Des Moines, Iowa. My art journey started early; learning from my mom, who ran an art studio called Studio Virtu in downtown Des Moines. I grew up immersed in creativity, taking every chance I could to study at her studio and the Des Moines Art Center.

I stayed laser-focused on art throughout school, eventually attending the Kansas City Art Institute before transferring to Iowa State University. In 2018, I graduated with a BFA in Art & Visual Culture, specializing in painting and ceramics. I love working in both 2D and 3D media and still can’t pick a favorite… so I don’t.

Since graduating, I’ve worked in a few non-art-related roles that taught me a lot about life and business, but the creative pull never left. In late 2024, shortly after getting married (yay!), I made the leap back into art and hope to be able to focus more and more as time goes on.

When I’m not drawing or making something, I’m probably hanging with my three cats (Jerry, Chip, and Opal), tending to my garden, thrifting, tackling home projects, or playing cozy video games (Sims and Palia forever). I also love watching movies with my husband, Austin—and yes, I log every single one on Letterboxd.
